The realities of day to day living often weigh heavily on my spirit. In the creative process, I find that I can leave reality and experience a “weightlessness” of spirit that removes inhibitions and preconceived notions of what art should be. I am able to allow intuition and impulse to drive each mark during this process and I find great pleasure in the fact that I never know what the piece will look like until it is done. The use of color, arbitrary shapes and symbols is regularly seen in my abstract work inviting the viewer to look more closely at each piece.  It is my intention for you to get close to each piece, explore the non-narrative meaning and movement in the work. I also welcome your imagination to co-create meaning and take you to a special place.
